17. HUMAN RIGHTS DUE DILIGENCE
SERVICES
Information
The National Business and Human Rights Pact (“Pact”) is a voluntary commitment for companies interested in implementing the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. The Pact is managed jointly by the Chamber of Commerce through its House of Sustainability and the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs, Defence, Development Cooperation and Foreign Trade.
The Pact is aimed primarily at Luxembourg based organisations with a value chain in Europe and beyond, and provides them with the key elements for understanding expectations in terms of respect for human rights, as well as the tools for implementing human rights due diligence.
This Pact is particularly important for companies that export and invest in foreign markets, and it can support companies that are preparing for the EU Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive.
Interested companies will join a community of organisations that share the same commitment, enabling the exchange of best practice in an atmosphere of mutual learning.
