CNS - CAISSE NATIONALE DE SANTE

The Caisse Nationale de Santé (CNS), as single payer, covers around 95% of the resident population through the country’s compulsory social health insurance scheme. Together with the Luxembourg cross-border workers, the CNS is the insurer of approximately one million beneficiaries under three insurance schemes: health care, sickness leave and long-term care insurance. The CNS manages a yearly budget of euro 5,3 billion, employs more than five hundred staff and operates 15 agencies well distributed across the country.
